Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross. - Philippians 2:5-8

If the Crown Fits....

WEAR IT!! :) I have been wanting to make a crown for quite some time but couldnt find a pattern I just loved. I'm so glad I waited for the perfect pattern. The pattern I used was from the Little Rays of Sunshine blog. It came out so perfect and was a very very fast pattern to work up (30 mins). Here is the link for the pattern Little Rays of Sunshine Crown Pattern. It is perfect for any little prince or princess and can easily be adapted for larger sizes. Also it is easy to bedazzle it to make it one of a kind. I love how it came out and can't wait to make one for our little prince or princess :)

UPDATE!!!
The pattern for this crown is no longer free. You can find the paid pattern on Ravelry: http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/newborn-crown-2

NEW UPDATE!!
I looked today, 6/14/15, and the pattern is now free again! :)  Here are the links:

Work Work ALL Week Long!

LuLu's has taken the back burner for the past few months due to me working a full time job but now I'm back!! :) I quit my job and I'm ready to give LuLu's a full time go. I feel I can make more of a difference through LuLu's than I could working at a desk job. If  LuLu's can make a difference in one person's life then it was all worth it. I am so excited make more things to offer and be a light in someone's life. I can't wait to see where the Lord leads LuLu's!

I will praise You, O Lord, with my whole heart, I will tell of all Your marvelous works. I will be glad and rejoice in You; I will sing praise to Your name, O Most High. -Psalms 9:1-2

**Hook-A-Licious**

Lately I have been seeing polymer hook grips but I never saw myself using them because I was comfortable with just a hook. I saw the absolutley adorable hooks that Day by Day Crochet was making and I wanted one. I could've just gotten on her wait list and bought one (which I probably will still do because she is also a military wife and a teacher and I want to show my support) but I decided to try my hand at it. I went to JoAnn's for some fabric and they had polymer clay on sale so I grabbed some to try it . I have multiple hooks lying around the house so I grabbed an extra H hook and went to town. My first one came out cute but the next two came out even better!!

Oops I did it AGAIN!

I just couldn't help myself! I found a new cowl pattern and I had to try it. However this one is not just a winter cowl. This one can be worn any time of year which makes it that much better! I had seen a couple patterns for the specific type of cowl but the one that stuck out the most to me was one that I came across on Ravelry. It can be found here on her blog  http://lovemedocrochetshop.blogspot.com/2012/09/how-to-make-chain-loop-cowl.html . It was very simple and came out super cute! Here is mine :)

African Flower Purse

I FINALLY FINISHED IT!!! I dont think I have ever been so happy to finish something. This was supposed to be a Christmas gift and obviously I didnt get it finished in time. However it turned out so much better than I ever expected so I think it will be worth the wait :) I used a pattern I found for free  on Ravelry. The pattern was fabulous! It was very detailed and had pictures. Here it is.... http://www.craftpassion.com/2012/04/african-flower-crochet-purse-part-1.html . The pattern tutorial has a Part 1 and a Part 2. The first part is for the crochet part and the second part is for the sewing of the lining. Now dont judge my horrible sewing skills when you see the picture but I think I did fairly well for a novice sewer. I can't wait to make me one now :)

Though I walk in the midst of trouble, you will revive me; you will stretch out your hand against the wrath of my enemies, and your right hand will save me. The Lord will perfect that which concerns me; your mercy o lord, endures forever; do not forsake the works of your hands. ~Psalms 138:7-8

Quacking Cute Hook <(*)

We went to JoAnn's today for a another project I'm working on and I saw the polymer clay on sale and I just couldn't help myself. I have been wanting to try and make my own hook handle for weeks and I finally caved in and decided to give it a try. I must say it came out FABULOUS!! I of course made it something that would represent me. I made the handle pink (my favorite color) and I added a cute little duck on the end (love me some ducks!). I felt it needed more to make it perfect so I decided to put some yellow dots on the handle to help tie the pink and the ducky together. It was super simple and came out better than I ever expected. I can't wait to do it again!

HOLY COWL!!

I have jumped on the newest fashion trend bandwagon and made me a cowl! I really wasn't wanting to but I found some that were too cute to pass up. I made one with a pattern by Jennifer Dickerson and it came out beautifully! Here is her pattern link http://fiberflux.blogspot.com/2012/10/free-crochet-patternfiona-button-scarf.html . It was a quick project and turned out super cute!

I also decided to make a very simple cowl for everyday use. It came out great! I wore it out to the mall and had many compliments and people who wanted one. Because of the compliments I decided to write it up for other crocheters. Here it is!! :) https://docs.google.com/open?id=0BxRpco1V5XG3dXpFNVlQMUltQkE . I hope you love it just like I do!

Moving Woes

I have neglected LuLu's lately and I promise I have a good reason. We have had to move from our old house to our new one on base. Moving is such a pain in the backside! It took me 3 days to find my hooks and yarn once we got to the new house. Along with moving we have had to get ready for Christmas in OH with my husbands family and having Christmas get togethers with my family in GA. The past few weeks have been insanely crazy with moving, working a full time job, and running around the Eastern US. All the craziness didnt stop me from crocheting but I just havent had time to post. However I am going to post all my recent projects and patterns and ASAP :)
